            I meant to write you but I don’t see myself getting around to that anytime soon so I thought I’d better respond here after all. Hope you’re well too ❤️

@darlingmercury It was only on my private reading list apparently.. I just haven't got around to it yet. I will at some point, don't worry :-D

@SheIsAKillerQueen You're right of course, about needing to bring something to it that is uniquely yours. But so much has been written already.. I think it's unavoidable that certain elements are repeated or (unintentionally or not) copied. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing at all though. Some of the best stories start of with a bit of a cliché- but where it goes from there can still be surprising or at least a very entertaining story. I think what sets someone apart as an author is not only the content/storyline but also (or even more so!) the writing style. That's how I feel anyway (I've just re-read this and have come to realise this could be constituted as a bit of a rant *blush* Don't know where that came from actually, I didn't think I had that much to say about it haha
            I couldn't even manage to stick to the word limit for heaven's sake!!)

            I'm thinking I WILL be taking a look at your book sometime soon! I haven't been reading that much lately so it might be a while, but I will! 
            Uh-huh, not stalking at all... ;-p
            But it's true, I'm not THAT strict. Preferably he's the (eventual) boyfriend in those fics though. Or should at least feature in it. I got roped into a couple of books because the author kept it a secret so I live in hope for a bit, get hooked and read on anyway... 
            It's true, it's harder to get an idea of 'the real Roger'. But you can look at that from a completely different angle: it leaves you with an awful lot of freedom when you write him! Most writers select a few plausible characteristics to focus on anyway. Apart from being a womanizer, there are lots of things you can pick from on which there seems to be some kind of consensus amongst fans/fanfiction writers : charming (of course ;-) bit of a blabbermouth, inclined to make (mostly pretty good) jokes at all times, eloquent, somewhat temperamental, clever, stubborn, sweet, obstinate... I could go on ;-) (of course I picked those I prefer.. :-D)
            I totally feel you, I love Deaky but fanfiction focused solely on him- no thanks!

@Not_the_drummer haha that's funny you say this ;) I do take it seriously otherwise I would have written sooner lol. Maybe if I had a bit more free time as well. I think maybe you should give it a shot then. My character just met Roger (and John) so I have yet to introduce Roger a bit more. But I do plan to make him important soon! I don't know if the story is super-Brian centric you know. I think I've spotted your comments on a couple Fics that weren't strictly Roger-centric. Wasn't stalking lol. Like Scandal and roommates. I feel like the strongest stories have a strong protagonist you know that's not necessarily the band. In terms of Brian I just think he is a bit easier to write than Rog. I feel like the real Bri has just given us a better glimpse into his life and personality with Queen in 3D as well as his more frequent interviews/activism. I love Rog too and would love to make him bigger in my story but I just wanna get out of the womanizer cliche you know. And I understand that some of the band members are just more interesting to read about based on personal preference you know. I probs can't bring myself to read a John centered fic even tho I do like Deaky. I like the analysis of the filler chapters. I guess some of them can be pretty strong as well. I just get a bit fed up when the action drags out super long. And by action I don't necessarily mean the steamy part of the story lol. I just feel like there are too many stories that are too similar and it's important to bring something unique to one's own.
