I'm sorry I haven't spoken sooner. I just didn't know what I could say that would contribute something new to the conversation. But now I realize I don't need to. 
          
          I know that several of my followers and readers over the past years have been black and I want to let you know that I stand with you. If you ever need to vent or even just have a discussion with someone, my inbox is always open. If you ever feel like you have been silent for far too long and feel comfortable opening up to someone who doesn't know you personally, I am here for you. 
          
          I am sad. I am angry. I am terrified. And I cannot begin to possibly understand what you must feel like; the racism and the injustice that you have faced your entire lives.

          And as much as I would have loved to wish you a happy pride month, Iyanna Dior, a young black transwoman was beaten up during a BLM protest today. It's horrifying that this is happening. We need change and we need it now.
          
          Things might seem hopeless right now, but I want you to remember you are not alone. Please if you need someone to talk to, please, please message me. Do not ignore your mental health during this crisis. Please look after yourselves.
