The tall menacing figure stood over me with the stench of death.
“I’m not trying to hurt you.” He spoke, his voice soft and genuine, “But... what they did to you.” He stopped thinking of his next words, I knew he was referring to the torture that haunted my every dream. “It’s slowly killing you.” He exhaled a pained sigh.
He knelt down beside me, lifting my head slightly so I was looking him dead in the eyes. I took a shaky breath, ‘he was dead. I watched him die.’ I thought to myself unable to speak. I let out a soft sob.
“This is going to hurt, but... In order to fix you.” He stopped standing back up and turning around, his voice turned cold and his face hardened. I could tell he didn’t want to say it. “In order to fix you.” He started again. “I need to make you bleed.”
