            the  years  slipped  by  like  a  flash,   truly.  perhaps  that  was  to  be  expected  when  one  was  as  busy  as  morte  often  was   -   there  was  no  time  to  consider  how  much  time  was  passing  if  there  was  barely  enough  time  to  have  a  thought  unrelated  to  work.
