i have all these characters and so much inspiration bottled up, but it feels like there’s just no one around to share them with. it’s hard not to take it personally. i really wanted this to be a space where i could connect and write, but after trying so hard and being met with nothing but ghosting and silence i just feel sad and hurt. i’ve been trying to force a connection in a place where I’m just not wanted. i think it’s finally time for me to stop chasing people who aren't interested and accept that this just isn't the right place for me Rn

"Just sayin...I know you're a big bad alien and you're too busy fighting crime or whatever but..." Roger drew little circles on Nolan's furry chest. "You ever wonder what it'd be like to have a couple sh!theads running around?" It's just a silly hypothetical question, sure, but the look in his eyes...the tenderness...it's not something he can just fake.

at just a glimpse omni man was recognizable. for all the wrong reasons, but once.. the right ones. everyone saw the incident all over television. the news, the deaths. the loss.. the hurt. the fact he'd been a fraud the whole time. homelander might know a thing or two about fraudulence. smiling without a reason to, long speeches he memorized the words of. but he didn't mean it.

with his stripes and stars of a cape flowing behind him and his hands behind his back the blonde studied the other, floating a few inches above the ground.

“ im surprised you still show your face around here. ”

            * nolan didn’t bother turning his head, his gaze remaining fixed on the horizon as he floated with an indifference that clearly grated on the blonde man’s nerves. he knew the look. that desperate, performative arrogance, and it felt like staring at a hollow reflection of the lies he had spent centuries perfecting before he finally chose to stop. when he finally spoke, his voice is low, * i don't have to pretend anymore, and neither do you, though i imagine that’s a much harder lesson for you to learn, * he muttered, his eyes narrowing as he finally faced the other man with a cold, unimpressed stare. * you’re still starving for an audience, still waiting for them to love you for a lie, but you're practically a child playing with power you don't have the stomach to actually wield.

"Leave me alone. I'm fine."

Roger's shaky hand tossed a few little blue ovals into his mouth, swallowing with no drink. His body leaned back, adjusting his weight accordingly so that it didn't put pressure on his left kneecap. He sighed, eyes fluttering shut. "Bad landing. Dude took off, I chased 'im, all she wrote."
