I’ve come to the conclusion that while my sci-fi, fantasy, and action-adventure books are more fast-paced, people hate to read my romance books. Because I typically don’t rush romance. A recent review said I focused too much on sensory detail, instead of ‘jumping into the plot’. But, that’s not a bad thing. These platforms just want ‘The Mafia’s Runaway Heir’, ‘The Alpha’s Possession’, and ish like ‘The CEO’s Baby’… Type sh*t. And, don’t get me wrong… I could and have wrote stuff like that. It’s just not my style. 
          
          Anyways. I’m giving up.

Yeah, I hate the “popular” books on Wattpad.
            
            Don’t give up man! You should still write and pursue your passions, perhaps just not on Wattpad. If you need a break, take it. However, don’t give up on something you love.
            
            I mean yeah I miss the reads and comments- but it’s not about popularity or money. I’m writing for enjoyment.
            But that’s just me. Everyone’s different.

            I started writing for fun- it would be nice to make money off of it, but I know it’s a lot of work. I’m not falling for scams, I immediately block them.
            But last year I found my fanfic on a mirror site 0-0
            Which sucks. Just stolen.
            
            And I’ve made friends here- then ending up losing them all for multiple reasons. So now it’s just me, my stories and a few people like you

@DakotahStacy3 same here! It was such a big community on here. I used to literally collab with people on here. Now all I get are bot comments of these people trying to ‘turn my book into comics’ and it’s annoying. I put in a lot of effort writing the stories I do. And get excited when I see a comment notification, only for it to be some kook with a generated comment.
