u can express how ull be bummed to see them go but ull support them as an avid reader and express how ull be here if they wish to return
or even a subtle wy to say u think their writing still has a lot of potential tht could be discovered if thy stay

@Periwinkle_Princess srry couldn't reply earlier! hmm this depends on their reason of quitting i feel like telling them u wish them the best and will always be here to support them if they do wish to return to writing. if uve resd their fic n rlly loved them u can also tell them tht, ik when i wanted to quit that rlly helped motivation wise n made me rethink getting rid of that specific fic and all
