@kisslestat OMG I FORGOT ABOUT COCTEAU TWINS!! serpenskirt is so good! i've heard a couple of the cure's songs but not enough to really judge whether i like them or not. also sepultura is so good oh my gosh, they're a brazilian groove metal band. i recommend the roots album!!

i think you might like Cocteau Twins, The Cure &&. The Cramps !! those were the bands i started off with when I was starting off as a gothic rock fan. though the cure is more new wave, they have lots of gothic songs &&. they are considered a gothic band. I could give you song recs from them if you'd like <3

what is your advice/tips on giving your oc’s personalities? when i write my oc’s characteristics they still feel so hallow and incomplete even when i give them multiple traits.
also how to you come up with a backstory that doesn’t seem rushed?

it's honestly a whoooole lot of things combined. when i first create a character and start thinking of prime personality traits, i normally will look at the mbti personality types and also the enneagram personality types. both of those give me more ideas and traits to build off of! i also try to imagine the character's personality to be sort of "reactionary" to their background and family relationships.

@ANNOLII YES LITERALLY like i like her as a person, she's nice and everything, but the way she does her job is so inefficient and stupid :skull: and it pisses me off that she a.) gets paid more than me b.) is full time and c.) has benefits and fucking insurance I'M GONNA JUMP
