Hello there. It’s been a while, I don’t know who is still here from back in the day but this is my official goodbye to Wattpad.
When I started writing, I needed an escape. I wasn’t a very happy kid and had a lot going on at school and at home. As a some of my stories began to get popular though, my anxiety grew and nothing I wrote was good enough. I wrote so many stories that stayed in my drafts because I wasn’t confident and was afraid of the comments.
Then I went to uni and I didn’t really have time for writing. I always thought I’d come back but it was too daunting. Now I’m 23 and I’m ready to let go of Wattpad, I felt so much guilt for so long and I don’t feel the need to prove myself anymore.
I’ve decided to publish all my drafts, or at least the ones in a somewhat ok position, some drafts are too short and will just be deleted. Then I will officially be done with fanfiction writing.
