          I feel Wattpad could be a little more supportive. IF someone has to provide a paragraph and other info when reporting a story, the least YOU can do is (if removing someone's hard work) give the author HELPFUL information. Not just: "Oop! Sorry lass, we removed your story. You don't need to know why" This is b.s. That writer SHOULD be informed of where the discrepancy was and GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY to fix the issue before being removed. I've seen good stories removed, leaving authors confused and feeling unsupported. I know a lot of writers who feel this way. Do better. Take the time to tell them the discrepancy, especially if you expect readers to give YOU a detailed report. If I was a part of this team I certainly would show authors more respect. You wouldn't have a site without them.
          1. Inform writer their story is under review.
          2. if a guideline rule has been broken, again inform the writer of the chapter, page, or paragraph that has the offensive material.
          3. Give them time (week?) to fix the issue.
          4. If still non-compliant, THEN remove the story.
          
          I almost feel this should be a petition of sorts. Again, seeing a lot of good stories tossed with little information given to the author. Disrespectful.

This has come up a lot lately in conversation on other social media, so I'm just going to kill it here before it breeds.
          DO NOT ASK FOR A SLEEP TOKEN OR PREFERRED BAND MEMBER ONE SHOT OR ANY OTHER STORY. PERIOD.
          Too many people out there writing "fanfics" about REAL PEOPLE, and making them so horrific and insultingly degrading. THAT is defamation of characters, ladies. If you're okay with objectifying people you don't know, and representing them in a character in a way that is NOT true of the REAL PERSON, you're the problem, not your red flag character.
          "But it's just a story!" It's a real person. A real fan wouldn't portray their favorite artist as trash.
          "So and so is a drunk, drug addicted, abusive werewolf" WOW, okay.
          
          Sleep Token is a VERY private group whom we do NOT know enough about to accurately say what WOULD be canon and what wouldn't. As an ACTUAL fan, I will not write them in a potentially defaming way just cuz y'all want to make your vaginas cry. Stop.
          Did I piss you off? Cry.
          No one is forcing you to be on this page reading MY opinions.
          Think I'm gaslighting you? Again, your choice to be here. 
          Someday, some musician/actor/whatever will not tolerate these ridiculous dehumanizing storylines. I hope they sue. I will laugh my ass off.
          Want to "change" a "sexy" red flag? Use your imagination and write your own damn character.
          If you're of the "I can write what I want" "it doesn't matter" camp, I hope you don't get pressed when men treat you in the way you're treating them in story. If you are exempt, so is he.

My rants are not intended to belittle or degrade others. This is my opinion based on my own experience and yes, psychology. 
          Quoting something Levi says in The Tracks:
          “I’m used to it. Tattoos. Poor side of town. White male statistics. I’m channeling Isabel a bit here. She should have gone to college. Not following me into poverty. It is what it is. People take a look at me and they see what they see. I MUST be a criminal. I must be the type to smack a woman around. Just because my life is what it is, I MUST have some kind of trauma that leads me to treat people poorly because I’m CERTAINLY NOT refined enough to know how to treat people.
          
          This is unfortunately what causes girls to try and force him into the toxic "tragic" man category. "He was a criminal! Surely that means he's do all these other things!"
          "His moral compass! I only want to see that from the angle that fits my narrative!"
          "He needs to be toxic, or my interest in him isn't justified!"
          "But trauma!"
          No. No, and no.
          I've spoken about how trauma victims statistically seek the trauma not express it. (Abused seeks an abuser unconsciously due to the patterns they've been conditioned to accept. They feel safe in their trauma)
          When the victimizer becomes the end game for the protagonist in a "romance" story, that just says one thing: you should accept the abuse, because if you are devoted, make excuses for your partner and stay true to the emotional/physical/psychologically traumatic behavior your abuser throws at you, they will eventually change for you. Take the blame for his (or her) bullshit. Smile through the tears. Wear that bruise like a badge of honor. This is, and will always be utter horseshit. Dark romance can be very realistic in its portrayal of relationships, but it never is realistic about the outcome.
          Be safe, my lovelies. If you are being abused, seek safety and help. Don't become a statistic. You deserve better.

Ay, how’s it going? I’m not dead :)

I must confess that I have a disorder called selective toxic bad boy syndrome. No, that's not a real disorder. I just made that up. But it's valid. For me, it all depends on if it's warranted. Does this character deserve to be presented as toxic or not.
          Levi, doesn't I'm sorry, ladies, I stand by this. You do you. Write what you're gonna write? But I just can't take a good character, turn him into something bad, just so I can clap my hands and say, "Yay, I fixed him."
          If that's your thing, there are some really good stories out there. Go for it, but don't ever forget what's actually canon about the character.
          Now, Geto, oh shi. There is a toxic bad boy that I can stand behind.
          Levi gets portrayed as bad for some reason because girls want to fantasize about the fact that just cause he grew up a thug, he still is a thug. And he needs them to fix him so desperately. He never was. Even when he was a thug. At least how he's presented by the author. As presented by the author. Now, when Bad Boy comes out, if Isayama decides to toss him outside the box a little bit. I'm not gonna lie that will make me a little sick to my stomach. But I will support it. Of course I will because I have respect for the original author and his vision. I honestly think that levi wouldn't be anymore than a pink flag at best. This character was stated as always wanting nothing more than a life of dignity for him and his friends. That sure as hell doesn't sound like a bad man. Paint it however you want.
