First and foremost, I've been happily married for over fifteen years and I wouldn't change a minute of it.

Okay, now that's said and done, where do I start? I've always loved to write since I was six and finally gave myself the kick in the butt to publish my work. I started with the Reedsy Prompts and the NaNoWriMo challenges and things slowly grew from there. My first short story here, The Forgotten Flower Child, is a product of the Reedsy Prompts, so a big shout-out to the folks over there.

I like to write across different themes and genres, although I honestly have trouble with themes and where my stories could fit into, not to mention, the whole show, don't tell bit gives me issues sometimes. I'm always looking to read others' works and receive advice and criticisms (just don't be a jerk, is all I ask).

I'm a strong believer that books shouldn't be banned just because someone who read it once is offended by something either in the book or by the subject matter, i.e. Gone With the Wind references how southern states referred to a part of the population before, during, and after the Civil War. Books and the writing craft itself should be treasured and discussed, not suppressed by those who don't understand or appreciate it.
