Hello to everyone. I know it has been a while since my posting of the preface and my last messages here. Unfortunately, I do not come bearing a chapter today. I’ve spent the last few weeks battling pneumonia, and while I’m pleased to say I am on the mend, I haven’t had much opportunity to work on writing. That being said, most of my notes on the story are complete, as well as research, and I hope to get to work really soon. I apologize for my absence and hope that the finished product is worth the wait. Hope you all are doing well. 

Hello everyone! I will start this off by preemptively apologizing for the amount of notifications you have received from me in the last week or so, but I have been drawn into the rework of Salience and am doing my best to get to the part where I can begin to write it. 
          
          I am two thirds through the outline of the rework, and I am both pleased and exasperated to report that the new content I have included has taken the estimated chapter count from twenty-five to thirty (not including interludes, prologue or epilogue). I have also split the story into three acts.
          
          Due to the nature of this rework, the original posting of Salience will need a complete overhaul, but I figured I would ask; should I write over the older version, possibly erasing comments and continuity from those old conversations to keep the story, or should I leave the old version, mark it as complete, and create a new version so that you all—the readers—and myself can compare?
          
          This should be my last post on the message board for a bit, but the question of old/new version is one I wanted to ask before going ahead with. :)

Hi everyone. If you’ve gotten notifications from me about a message I posted (which I have since deleted), I have been researching dates of events in the phase one MCU timeline. As it is majorly chaotic and constantly being retconned, I have come to the conclusion that I will date the events of the films as best suits the story I am trying to tell. I will be including (at the end of the story so not to spoil events I add), a full timeline of the major events up until the point my story ends for continuity. If the events don’t line up with something in the films, it is due to the lack of clarity from the directors and the conflicting information available online. I will ultimately have to accept that there is no way to make it all make sense, so I will settle for the explanation that the dates may vary slightly from universe to universe. Is this an acceptable conclusion and way to deal with it? The dates are important for the story I am telling, but they might be a little different than other stories. I will do my best to make it as comprehensive as possible.

Hello everyone! I am, in fact, still alive! It’s been quite the time since I last addressed you and I hope this message finds you all well. Between work, schooling, and the constant curveballs life loves to throw, I have found little time for the reading and writing of fanfiction. I do endeavor to return to writing eventually; I have new ideas and ambitions bigger than ever. For now, I will plan said ideas thoroughly and when an opportunity presents itself, will write it for you to enjoy! Once more, I hope you all are doing well.

Guess what! Yesterday (I am writing this at 1 am EST) was prom day and as I said before, I did a subtle cosplay. I was surprised how many compliments I received but I was pleased that a couple of people picked up on the cosplay! It was a really great night. 

Okay everyone, I have decided to get back into writing Salience now that my injury is beginning to heal properly. I managed to find all my story notes yesterday, so that’s a big help! Hopefully I’m able to produce a chapter soon (a very vague soon)
