Hi!
The idea behind this began, it seems now, in another life, perhaps even older than I am. Stories have always been our currency of identity from those that traveled on foot to our latest way of telling, digitally.  I've been an organic landscaper since that other life and from nearly the first day, this thing has been brewing both while lost in the weeds suddenly turning to meet a Praying Mantis head on or in dreams quickly scribbled down and sometimes impossible to decipher over coffee. I also began writing short stories as a kid and have never stopped. I never thought I was good, but the process seemed to slow my brain down to focus on something. 

Because I love doing it and love Nature as a spiritual path, the seeds of this story were born. I was lucky enough to move to the Adirondacks to a small mountain town that is completely embedded within a six million acre park, one of a few parks on Earth that allow human inhabitants to coexist with a protected wildlife and still be close enough to the friends I left behind. 
 For everyone who wishes action on every page, this may not be for you. I wanted to follow the path of the old storyteller to envision a new beginning for Earth without the things that led us to the brink of extinction. I welcome your comments! 

At some point along the way, I might ask someone if they would like to write a chapter, perhaps adding nuance or further explore something they think I skipped over. I'm not sure how this site could handle that or even allow it but the idea of a collaborative effort for Book Two has always been there. It's a big part of the story.
