@CEABear2015 Sorry, I didn't want to add more to the block of text on there, but please understand that those are some of my points on my side of the case. So please do not take it in a rude or mean way as that is not my intentions-- again, those are my thoughts on the matter and the whole wiki and western situation.

@Blackdancer45 I’m sorry that happened to you! Maybe try in pen or ask her to draw the picture again too? In front of everyone or something? But I’m really sorry you’ve had to deal with this. I hope things go well for you!

@Blackdancer45 I’d say most likely get a teacher involved if you have to. Do you have other work to show others that it’s your style and not hers? And do you sign your artwork too?

@SukiswordgamingPro Stealing my friend’s artwork to the point of them having to leave the fandom altogether because artists aren’t treated like actual human beings— not only that but people actually having to either go into hiding and hating the fandom altogether. If I came off as mean, whoops on my part. But when you create something only to have someone steal it and slap titles on something you work so hard for— not only are you disrespecting artists, you’re disrespecting the hard work and love that they put into their work. Not only that, they were already WARNED that they would be reported in an earlier chapter if you saw— also it does violate wattpad’s terms and services. Please understand that artist’s don’t want their work being used in this manner, it’s rude and disrespectful— which is what I’ve already stated in the comments. “Credit to the artist” is not proper credit and is still considered stealing which is, of course, illegal. Thank you and I wish you a wonderful day/night. I apologize if I came off as rude but stealing and hurting artists in this way is way worse than a rude comment.

When artwork is used or reposted without the original artist’s permission or credit. It’s copyright infringement which is also stated in the terms and service on this site. Fanart falls under this category as the artist is basically the owner of their own work despite it being fanart for a show, book, comic etc. Basically taking an artist’s work without their consent or knowing is actually illegal and can seriously get you into legal trouble even if you give credit to the artist. The artist always has the last say in what happens to their work.

@SukiswordgamingPro no it isn’t. That’s like someone stealing from an art museum and then claiming that you’re giving credit to the artist and that it’s there for legal use. No matter how you look at it, the artist has the last say in how their work is being used and what happens to it. It’s hard to be polite about it when people respond rudely to you when all you ask is for your wishes over your work to be respected.
