@kgarst Okay, Firstly hello and thank you so much for your great comment and thank you that you took the time to write so many interesting things. The novel is not just teen romance (which is a genre that I know can become a little dry and dull) it is also Historical Fiction, it will branch out to being a little adventure then a little mystery over a certain basket – Have you read chapter’s 2 and 3 because if you have, then you could be able to guess who it is from, if you have time PM me with a guess. I will continue to delve deeper into the character’s but do you think that I over describe? The flashback events in Alice’s point of view in chapter 3 could provoke a reaction in readers however what sort I do not know. Also conflict will take place when I think of something good to happen – any ideas? I will take on board the thing about paragraphs – Thanks.
Now to your story questions – I will give you a brief incite but not too much that the book will be ruined. In chapter four, which could take a couple of weeks to upload, Tom and Alice are on their way to Scotland for the winter because the Harrington Family are moving there, they stop off in a place called Ilkley (you can Google earth it) and climb these huge rocks called the cow and Calf rocks. I originally was going to bring the Cook’s family into the plot much later on, towards the end and decided to drop it because it was a little coincidental but now that somebody has picked up on it, I will think over it. Tom and Alice’s relationship will take off, because they are both secretly attracted to each other and because they are both a little confused/ anxious about what the other one with think or say. Because they don’t want to broach the topic, they gradually become more distant and this is where the conflict that you asked for could come in, in a misunderstanding and a confession of their feelings.
Thank you again – I hope that you enjoy chapter’s 2 and 3 as much as 1.
