I recently attended a Open Mic writing event and it was very interesting because despite it being a general prompt on what to speak on, the only rule was that it must be concluded within 300 words. I thought this was great practice because it made me think, "How could I tell an entire story in 300 words?" This is where I came up with this new One Off Short Story. I do not know if this will be a continuing thing, but I certainly loved the practice it gave me.

I have been doing a lot of thinking lately about my story and how I want to continue developing the story. But I feel like I can't do that without first revising the first 2 chapters and the prologue. I think that in order to give greater depth to my characters, I would have to provide further backstory to Jasmine's parents. So, while I will be working on the story as it continues, I will also add some more backstories that will be incorporated into the story's beginning. Thank you everyone for your support :)
