OnTheBlytheSide
As OnTheBlytheSide the writer, 2025 has been crazy for me, but for good reasons.
Of course, my biggest highlight of the year was the release of my latest book, Made For Us, on Wattpad. This was the fruit of the hardwork I silently put through in 2024 and I was glad to have it published to Wattpad this year. What blew me away was the book has reached more than a thousand reads in just less than a year! For that, I am truly grateful.
Most of you don’t know that MFU, as well as my other book, State of Grace, were my favorites among the four because of their storylines. I’m hopeful that one day, at least one of them will be released as the official published book. Perhaps in 2026? Let’s see.
Another highlight of my year was my second meeting with the Japanese actor who inspired me to write again, and had finally handed him a physical copy of SOG, one of my books also inspired by him. I promised him two years ago that I would give him a copy of the book when he returns. So when he did visit again, I kept my word and even included a physical copy of MFU! I was so glad to see him again and looking forward to his next visit, hoping it won’t take another two years.
2025 was also the year I took courage to explore the unknown, particularly learning the art of promoting my written works online.
I easily understood why some writers took promotions so seriously, as they almost guarantee a significant boost in readership. I experienced it firsthand, and it was rewarding. But if I’m being honest, promotions are also exhausting, and personally speaking, they affected my drive to write. That’s why I had to step back and strategize. This doesn’t mean that I’m totally forgoing promotions next year. I will continue to do so, but will rather take my time, so that I can write at a steady pace like before.

Lastly, while 2026 seems to be an uncertain time for me as a writer, I still believe that it will be as productive as the past few years, and will stay grateful for the support, and for every opportunity that will come my way.
Thank you, everyone, for your love and support this past year. May we all have a blessed year ahead!
