As hard as this is for me to say, I'm contemplating on stepping out of the club. I have tried to work on Prelude to Retribution this weekend but I have lost my passion for that story. I just have. If, by morning, I feel the same after a good night's sleep, then I will officially withdraw from the club. I wanted you to be the first to know.
@OnceUponALily I appreciate that. If do anything with the tale, it will have to be a complete rewrite but that's on hold for now. I posted a comment on the bookclub page this morning officially stepping away from club activities going forward. I need to concentrate efforts elsewhere as I have another semester of school and a move to prepare for in coming months. I also need to keep working on my bass guitar skills as well.
@pattuck418 Maybe a revision will work for you. There is no need for you to force yourself to continue writing the tale if the storyline is not where you want it. I typically revise my work after finishing it to identify areas where I might need to incorporate new themes and scenes. Although you said that there is not much military action or a sci-fi vibe to your plot, it does a fantastic job of balancing things out. It is a science fiction romance with some shocking turns to keep readers engaged. The story is quite good, and it certainly has potential. You have done an excellent job thus far.
@OnceUponALily Unfortunately, I sent in a request to be removed as a member from the bookclub. I don't know what's wrong with me in this case of writer's block but I just do not have an ounce of passion for my work any longer. I considered possibly starting the series with the second book entitled, "Yoke of Vengeance", but I don't have anything for that tale either. I appreciate the reads, comments, and votes. I also wish you the best going forward.

@bookishfairy1 Hi. Thank you for inquiring, and I apologize for unpublishing a few chapters. I am currently engaged in a comprehensive editing of the entire story, involving not merely minor adjustments but also a complete rewriting of several scenes. My objective is to get the remainder of the book completely revised and updated before the new year. I will likely update everything at once and mark the book "complete." I want to finish the story and my other WIPs soon since they are part of book clubs. :)
