LOVELIES! Sorry for being radio silent the last few weeks-- I've been super busy with my new job, and honestly, I've been exhausted (as I am NOOOT used to working such long hours)!
SO! I looked over the new guidelines, and this is what I took from it:
(Obviously) Smut must be related to the story. It can't just be out of the blue (or be PWP, P0rn without plot). The story must be rated "Mature" if it contains smut as well.
I've heard stories are being removed despite the smut being heavily reliant on the plot, which sucks. And I believe it is because they are using AI to flag content, which, of COURSE, is not reliable. I think the goal was to remove smut content involving minors/non consensual, but it's doing more harm than good to ACTUAL writers on the site.
Conclusion:
I don't know how to feel yet. I don't like it's run by AI. Am I worried about my stories being removed? No, as none of mine contain smut. However, I was planning on some in my Arthur story, as well as my Daryl one. I will tentatively be going forward with it, but I will remain skeptical. If I get banned again, I won't return to this site. I'll be on AO3, or Quotev (maybe)!
On another note:
I GOT A NEW TV :D I can finally continue my Arthur Morgan story! I am SO excited for it-- I've missed Arthur and Y/N so much, and I feel I've gotten better at writing since last posting for them (hopefully HAHA)!
SO! I want a few chapters written up for that before I start publishing "Stand Unshaken" again, and for now, I'll just be doing "Under Grey Skies"! I'm hoping to have this next chapter finished by Sunday next week, but sooner if I am able! I might take a month break to write up a few chapters for each story in September, but I'm not 100% sure yet!
I'm so sorry for being gone the last few weeks, but I think I'm finally settling into my new place/job enough to write! Thank you all so much for your support and patience ^^

About the new guidelines , if they're truly using Ai then it's a dump move 😭 I feel like it can be sooooo unreliable when it comes to context, especially with stories where mature scenes are actually part of the plot.
Like, having AI decide what crosses the line without properly understanding the context of a story sounds like it could cause SO many misunderstandings.... which ends up wrongly banning writers for no reason...
I’d hate for writers to lose their work over an AI misunderstanding something. Especially after putting so much time and effort into a story :-\
Hopefully it won’t cause you any trouble with your Arthur and Daryl stories....
