Greetings! Thank You for visiting me on WattPad. Caldera is my first work here, although I have already completed one novel that's in its finishing stages of revision. I specialize in sci-fi, with a special focus on cyberpunk and dystopian themes. On occasion, I write short fiction as well. Caldera, however, is mainly an action/adventure story, and the pilot of what will hopefully be a series of stories for the Lares trio.

I've been reading hard sci-fi since I was in my teens. Some of my fave sci-fi writers are Philip K. Dick, Robert Heinlein and William Gibson, among others. Most recently, I've been delving into cyberpunk-noir - think Altered Carbon by Richard Morgan and Zero-Sum Game by SL Huang.

Not to be outdone, non-sci-fi fiction has also had a huge influence on me. Among my biggest literary reads are Ernest Hemingway, Elmore Leonard and Herman Hesse. On the nonfiction side, I can be found reading mostly books on science, history and current affairs. Lately, though, I've developed a new love for a most unlikely source: manga and anime!

I currently make my living as a math and science teacher at a private school. I also moonlight as an indie publisher (I just published my mom's first book of poetry -- Woohoo!). When my writing takes off, I hope to be able to retire soon so I can do my storytelling full-time.
