@StephyFhoney it is not, I used the idea but altered the overall story. I based the book off of Ten, but the characters and time (year and tech) are different but the idea and outcome are the same. If you want a to go a little more in depth with the story and I'm going to be honest, things make a lot more sense in McNeil's story because she really did her research while I made more guesstimations on somethings and I have a more go with the flow thing going on. So if you have the means to, read hers. But I understand the fees, mine is the exact same outcome with each characters fate.
