The secret life of Walter Mitty. If you have watched this movie you will have the best description of my childhood. You see, I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was seven. It didn't mean much to me, and still doesn't. However; it should mean something to you, the people who are about to enjoy my art form. I avoided most stressful encounters by shutting down and escaping into my own world. This experience, combined with an analytical mind, gave me the ability to design entire plots to life when I was still very young. When I was a child I hated reading, as I matured I learned to enjoy it slightly. At some point in grade 11 I finally decided to attempt completing a project at school. The project was a writing assignment. This problem child, who was the worst student imaginable, most of my teachers thought me to be the devil incarnate, had a hidden talent. My writing was both intelligent and captivating. The story was passed around to the faculty and each surprised teacher told me how impressed they were about my talent. I found the experience insulting. The shock that I observed from the staff made me understand just how incapable they found me. So I figured fuck them, my hormone addled mind rebelled against their support and I quickly returned to neglecting my studies. One thing led to another and I dropped out and joined the army. I stopped writing for a long time, only to return to the craft now and again as a way to de-stress. The plots never stopped though. Tragedies, romance, adventure, a gamut of worlds lived in my head never to be put to the keyboard. Fast forward a decade, maybe a decade and a half. I was trapped in the most dull and lackluster job I have had to date. Working as a night shift security supervisor at a military base. I got bored and started putting my talents to use. I showed the works to people and they were enthralled. It awakened a hope in me. A hope that this is my path, my purpose to make stories that would enchant the world.
