Hi hi! I have been studying rigorously at university. Although my major falls under the college of Arts and Humanities, it has nothing to do with language/writing!!
However, I've thought about the novel I've published quite a bit. I was so young and inexperienced. I touched the daily lives of other young and inexperienced-- particularly queer people like me.
Queer ideology has also changed a lot since I wrote MHW. There are depictions in this book that could be corrected to reflect a more accurate experience of queerness. Besides changes such as those, I plan to leave the novel as is-- very imperfect, full of plot holes, etc.
The novel I've been planning to publish hasn't left my mind. I want to express sapphic yearning in a very explicit, vulnerable manner. The way that queer yearning was so masterfully executed in The Song of Achilles and CMBYN. I haven't seen as much popular written work presented this way when it comes to WLW / Genderqueer experiences. I want to give this to my community.
This novel will be quite a departure from my first novel. It is a much more intense, mature work. I hope my previously remaining fanbase will be able to garner something from it.
Looking forward & hopefully see you soon,
