@Carnelianstar Hello Carnelianstar, thank you so much for your interest in my story! I just finished posting another chapter, so feel free to check it out when you get the chance! Technically, I write both Yuu and Hanabi as gender-neutral, but Hanabi’s name leans a little more feminine to me, while Yuu stays strictly neutral. That way, readers can either “be Yuu” and follow the original storyline with a few twists, or “be Hanabi,” who’s on their own adventure. Keeping Yuu as a separate character helps us know where we are in the plot, even if Hanabi is off doing something completely different from canon. As for your other questions — I actually never got to finish the game. I accidentally ran over my phone right after beating Overblot Azul when the chapter first came out. The phone still works and the screen isn’t cracked, but the touch sensitivity is a mess, so I haven’t continued since. So I can’t say which event is my favorite or give super in-depth commentary on every character. I do really enjoy Idia and his troll nature, and how passionate he is about the things he loves. I like Malleus’s innocence and mostly steady personality. Cater’s playful energy is fun, even if he sometimes comes across as a bit frivolous, despite actually being a deep thinker. And Azul is adorable — he’s so intelligent, but his past experiences left him with a rough self-image. Watching him slowly learn to accept himself is something I’ve always liked. I’ve always been a big reader, and I’m really interested in psychology and counseling, so I spend a lot of time trying to understand the characters’ minds. It helps me write them in a way that feels real and relatable. What about you?
