Sometimes the world in which we live is violent, aggressive and hopeless. People show no mercy, not empathy, and everywhere you go, every place you visit has evil growing in power. But even when all is dark, there's always hope. I've always asked myself: "what is hope?". For some people hope is a person, a place or even a thing, for others is just a word. Over the years, I have learnt that for me, hope is more than a word, it's more than a person, place or thing, for me it's a feeling. It's the feeling I get when I read about demigods, wizards, dragonriders and princesses living fabulous stories and making me feel like I can do everything, teaching me that nothing is impossible. It's the feeling I get when I follow my heroes adventures and I laugh, cry, shout and suffer with them.
Hope, 4 letters, not a complicated word for most people, but I'm not most people. So if you ask me: "what is hope?", don't expect less than me giving you a book and saying "tell me yourself".
