I've been here before
The path before me is familiar.
The crossroads are intimidating
Should I continue forward?
My destination is unknown, but the cavalry is pounding the ground behind me
The drums are sounding, beating in rhythm of my heart
War cries
Like thunder ripping through the sky
And there they are
Surrounding me
Bows drawn, blades shining in the blazing sun
My words would have promised and begged
But the truth filled me a lifetime ago
And so I cut the words at my throat
And darkness consumes me by knowing the light

I am a 29-year-old, nondescript, Irish/French/German/Native American- American, with a slight hint of Polish.

I am normally a fantasy writer, but I also have quite a bit of poetry. I write short stories, but I am currently working on a novel series. Writing is my passion, just as it is for most of you, I am sure.

My goal for writing is to affect and inspire others. Reading was an escape for me as a child, and I really wish to help someone else cultivate their imagination...
