@POTOSTAY Thank you so much ♡︎ I really tried my best to make the medical side feel as realistic as possible. I work as a volunteer paramedic and in IT at a large hospital, so medical accuracy is something I really care about. But I'm definitely not a doctor, so I spent a lot of time researching procedures, diagnoses, and hospital workflows in detail.
            
            Reading your perspective from veterinary medicine was really interesting and honestly heartbreaking. I hadn't really thought about how often financial limitations can mean euthanizing animals that could have been treated. That must be incredibly difficult to carry.
            
            And I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. Thank you for trusting me enough to share something so personal. I truly hope you're doing better now, and I'm sending you a big hug ♡︎

@wrensagerune Getting too attached to patients happens in vet med too. And we also have to deal with people not having money for procedures. So we look at things that are totally curable if the client had money and end up euthanizing patients that had a chance. At least that's the saving grace. We can end the animal's suffering but it isn't an option in human medicine. I struggled seeing my Dad with a terminal illness knowing I would be able to end his suffering if he wasn't a person and it's infuriating. He died from a stomach ulcer rupture and I was thankful it was over for him. He could've lived another decade slowly deteriorating.

@wrensagerune I'm in vet med and I haven't checked everything for 100% accuracy but I'm like omg medicine that sounds legit. Like researched. And there's plot. Like chef's kiss.
