Hi, I'm Kit - an Australian writer, science student, professional overthinker, and collector of far too many fictional people.

My natural habitat is somewhere between corporate goth, romantic goth, and "I saw this red plaid thing and immediately needed it." Give me maroon, black, silver chains, cats, candles, old books, moon imagery, and anything vaguely witchy and I'm happy.

I'm also a massive science and medicine nerd, which means half my brain is thinking about microbiology, anatomy, cells and disease... while the other half is wondering why two emotionally constipated fictional idiots still haven't admitted they're in love.

I write character-driven stories full of romance, drama, messy people, humour, complicated relationships and, most importantly, found family. I love stories about people learning how to love each other better - friends who become family, parents figuring it out, people healing imperfectly, and tiny acts of care that mean more than grand gestures.

My current obsession is Love Afterall, which began as a romance and somehow became a sprawling story about parenthood, friendship, recovery, music, identity, old wounds, second chances and an increasingly elaborate society of toy dinosaurs.
Outside writing, I love cats, music, singing, ukulele, comfort shows, good food, pretty stationery, magical little trinkets and disappearing down research rabbit holes for details nobody asked me to know.
I believe science and magic make excellent neighbours.
