I wrote a book and had it published in January. I don’t know how to get it bigger. It's my first book, and while it's short and not the greatest of writing, I'm still extremely proud of it. I don't know how to market anything.
It's called Cyborg City, and you can find it on Amazon. There's random and fun information and things back on my other account.
There's a sequel that needs some beta readers. It probably would be better if whoever wants to be one reads the book (it's free with Kindle Unlimited, $5 with Kindle, $12 paperback, and $15 hardcover). I just really want to get this book to be bigger.
Does anyone have any kind of advice? Even if you don't have a published book, how would you market things. I don't have the money yet to run an actual ad campaign on Amazon. If I could, I would be able to.
Right now, I have a book up on Wattpad with a sneak peak and information with updates and things. I also do post the occasional video on TikTok. I might make videos for YouTube and stuff.
It's genuinely getting to become very frustrating. I don't want people to read it because it makes me money (though, that is a perk and I could use money), I just want people to read it and enjoy it. I don't write for money, I write because it's fun and I want people to enjoy my stories. I'm just really bad at marketing.
It would also be amazing if someone could work one on one with me and be like a manager or something. But I really don't have money right now, so I understand if no one wants to since I don't have anything to offer. I could make you some art or write things dedicated for you, but that's the best I can do right now. Once I get more money, we can work out a payment plan with you.
I would also love to make Cyborg City an audiobook. I think it would be really cool to do it as a dynamic one (I think that's what it's called when each character has their own voice), but I'd be fine if it's not that. I'll need to figure out how to do a royalty pay with that as well.
