~Rant~   So me and my brothers were talking to each other. I was talking in AAVE and using vine references (is that todays slang?), and my step-dad got heated over it. He started saying shit like how black people who talk like how I did don't look smart. Than he started talking about the BLM movement, and I was wondering why he was talking about these two things so I said," How does language have to do with someone's life?" Than he was talking about shit and how I didn't know what I was supporting (I have a pin on my backpack that says BLM) and than my mom starts saying shit like how black men got rights before woman. Like how does the Black Lives Matter movement have anything to do with woman's rights. She than said that it was 'our' issue, like she doesn't know that I'm a man. Than my step dad said shit like that he was proud of talking about how smart I was when first meeting him, but know he isn't proud. Like dude shut the fuck up. They give me ALM ally vibes. Thankfully after they were done, I changed the subject to have fun with my little brothers. I swear parents always use the littlest things, than turn them into all out lectures about how they're 'done' with our behavior. I just can't with them. I can't wait till I get older, or at least grow a pair and dip.
