@marvelous_tragedy Ngl I think that’s what we’re meant to think about him, because he’s a centuries old god, why would he voluntarily care for a human, that’s so fragile and small right? 
            
            I think Khonshu has a soft spot for his avatar, and they have a bond others just simply do not understand.
            
            The threat against Layla was not needed though, but I do believe that Khonshu just did that for Marc/Steven to have a reason to stay with him/to keep them close to him
