As Emily and Ryan walked Mukundan toward his room, the old man suddenly whispered dramatically—

          	“My daughter has changed.”

          	Ryan sighed.

          	“Because of Arpita?”

“YES,” Mukundan cried softly. “Shreya used to threaten people. Now she smiles at walls after reading texts.”

          	Emily snorted.

“Sir, yesterday Arpita called her cute.”

          	Mukundan looked horrified.

          	“What happened?”

          	Ryan answered immediately.

“Madam walked into a glass door.”

          	Mukundan stopped walking.

          	“No.”

          	Emily nodded seriously.

          	“And blamed the architecture.”

Mukundan burst out laughing so loudly the entire hallway echoed.

          	Then suddenly—

          	“Papa.”

Shreya’s cold voice came from downstairs.

          	The three of them froze.

          	Mukundan immediately pointed at Ryan.

          	“He started it.”

Arpita rested her head against Shreya’s chest, tracing lazy circles on her arm while the rain tapped softly against the window.

          “Shri…”

“Hm?” Shreya murmured sleepily, tightening the blanket around her.

“You know you look less scary when you’re half asleep?”

Shreya opened one eye. “Excuse me? I’m always terrifying.”

Arpita giggled softly. “No. Right now you look like a grumpy teddy bear.”

“A teddy bear who can throw you off the bed.”

          “Mhm… but you won’t.”

          “And why’s that?”

“Because you love me too much.”

For a second, Shreya stayed quiet before pressing a kiss onto Arpita’s forehead.

          “Annoyingly true.”

Arpita smiled against her neck. “Good. Then keep holding me.”

“Not planning to let go, baby.”

Arpita was quietly eating her pasta while Shreya sat across from her, staring shamelessly.

After noticing it for the fifth time, Arpita finally looked up.

“Why are you staring at me like that?”

          Shreya smirked lazily.

“Because you look pretty when you eat.”

          Arpita nearly dropped her fork.

“Who even says things like that randomly?!”

          “You want me to stop?”

          “…No.”

          Shreya’s smile widened instantly.

“Aww… so my baby likes being flirted with.”

Arpita immediately looked away, cheeks burning red.

          “You’re impossible.”

          “And you’re cute.”

          “Shri!”

          “Hm?”

          “Eat your food quietly!”

Shreya leaned slightly closer across the table.

          “I would…”

          Her eyes slowly met Arpita’s.

“…but you’re way more interesting than the food.”

Some love stories begin with fate.

Theirs began with blue eyes, stolen glances, late-night conversations, and feelings that became far too intense far too quickly.

One girl hiding a dangerous past.

Another unknowingly becoming her safest place.

And somewhere between guitar strings, teasing smiles, and lingering touches…

they fell for each other. ✨

          Shri : Reached home?

          Appu : Yeah

          Shri : “Yeah” ah?

          Appu : I mean yes ma’am—

Shri : Didn’t I tell you not to call me ma’am anymore?

          Appu : Sorry… Shri

          Shri : Better.

Appu : Why are you still awake though?

          Shri : Couldn’t sleep.

          Appu : Stress?

          Shri : Blue eyed guitarist.

          Appu : …

          Appu : You’re joking right?

          Shri : Was I?

Appu : My heart just skipped.

          Shri : Good.

Appu : You flirt like this with everyone?

Shri : No. Just girls who stare at me in cars instead of wearing seatbelts.

Appu : THAT WAS ONE TIME

Shri : And I’m still thinking about it.
