I'm an independent person who has a job and I take my phone with me to my room because I needed an alarm to go to work early in the morning. My mom goes out of her way to look in a spot when devices are usually left, sees its not there and comes to my room to get it from me telling me "you can't have your phone in your room." I tell her it's for work and she says I don't care you still can't have your phone in your room and takes it from me
This happened recently but I'm a non-straight high school student living with my religious and homophobic ass family. Apparently (haha I'm punny) one, maybe both of my parents "figured it out" and we went on this long drive with that parent just not scolding me but saying this and that about how "same-sex relationships" aren't what someone will want in life after the relationship. Parent also brought up stupid reasons to back it up like they can't have children or families. If that was the case what about me? I'm your adopted child and then there's infertile couples, what about them? Parent also said that we (my best friend and I) didn't know what we wanted because we're so young and probably scared of the idea of sex with the opposite gender like wtf. It was so fucking stupid. But yeah, I really have the urge to live in Canada when I'm able to, anyone coming?
@lost-wandering-soul I kinda wanna go to Canada because 1 it's decently accepting (there's a few exceptions as always) and 2 a lot of my favorite YouTubers live there. Don't know if that's good enough reasoning tho
