I began writing "A Heartless Diagnosis" in September of 2008 after a fatal event changed my world. This memoir is filled with love, humor, a sense of hopelessness, joy, great sadness and resolve. It speaks to
parents, caregivers, counselors, educators and youth who are committed to make a difference in a special community.
When I was a young adult I wondered what life had in store for me. In my minds eye, I saw great love, a sense of calm and the love of family. Now that I am older I look back and reflect on the steps that carried me through and those that crumbled beneath my pain.
I have been in the process of revamping the chapters of my manuscript and stumbled upon this website with the help of my granddaughter. It is my hope that as I submit each chapter readers will submit their honest opinions.
