My husband and I rescue dogs in Long Beach,  CA. Lately we've been doing a lot of hospice work. We take old, sick, senior dogs who were once someone's family member, give them love, comfort and dignity until it is time to let them go in our arms in the vet office. It's difficult work, but it would be more difficult knowing the died alone, afraid, heartbroken.  Someone needs to do it. Plus we have some great rescue dogs who are part of our permanent family. Winston cand Miss Pixie. We got them both from shelters on the day they were scheduled to die. We love them so much! Peace, Love, WOOF!
