I must admit, I never plan anything before I begin writing.  I like to just see what comes out.  It's an interesting discovery into my own self this way.  The improvisation of my writing style brings out something that I never knew was within me.  My stories are like dreams to me.  When I finish writing I always read it over and think, "where did that come from?"
