She literally said “colorism always happen to lightskins” but my friend ate her for blood so she deleted the paragraph , so you literally don’t even know what you’re talking about

PatrishiaTaylor

@SHEZSOTRILL I apologize. It was not in the chapter this afternoon. As you said I didn't witness it. But I m woman enough to say sorry. I don't get the aggression. If the wrong phrasing is used can't we as women,as humans have a discussion without the insults. There would be better results and more understanding. This is a very sensitive topic and a lot of people aren't aware of the difference between the words racism, colorism and hate

You wrote a WHOLE paragraph that nobody is going to read…re-read that chapter dumb bitch, she CLEARLY said something about colorism and didn’t know the correct definition. Both of y’all look dumb as a bitch☠️☠️

PatrishiaTaylor

@luvrsguide you are most right. Unfortunately colorism is mostly felt in the black community towards darker skinned people but its also felt in other communities also.

While colorism is often thought of as a problem that exclusively afflicts communities of color, that's not the case. Europeans have prized fair skin and flaxen hair for centuries, and blonde hair and blue eyes remain status symbols for some people. When the conquistadors first traveled to the Americas in the 15th century, they judged the Indigenous peoples they saw on their skin color. Europeans would make similar judgments about the Africans they enslaved. Over time, people of color began to internalize these messages about their complexions.

Babe…you replied in a comment and said that she didn’t mention colorism when she CLEARLY did. I don’t need to read anything bc i read with my own two eyes that she said lightskins can go through colorism as well.

Missing my lil mama Jai. But I understand why she left. As readers we should show our favorite authors more love, appreciation and support. Then we won't loose them. But because of some ignant people the rest of us have to suffer. So show love by voting giving positive comments and feedback and actually expressing ourselves

@MISSRADIANCE don't ever doubt yourself. Your work speaks for itself. You were one of the first people that I followed. And I only follow people that I can relate to. I've read all you novels and I can honestly say that about you, lollipopmix and Aggiediva35. Don't ever give up and if I feel inspired I will let you know

thank you for all your feedback this book is going to do so much more of that to come so stay tuned. I am glad you are inspired with so many emotions from my stories, sometimes I get discouraged thinking I am not talented or good enough to compete with other authors that I am trying to because I like think I have my own style and personality when it comes to writing and it is not duplicated like any other authors out so thanks much. You and people like you are the reason I keep going even when I feel like giving up the dream. Please feel free to give me any ideas for Luke and the characters in this sequel any suggestions is well accepted and respected thanks much for the love and support God Bless!!!
