I'm an aspiring author with a Work In Progress that should soon be ready to submit to publishers. I blog and write short stories alongside and plan to share the latter here on Wattpad.

I'm a thirty-odd year old father of one and average white male who's literally anything but average once you get to know me. Known for bouts of depression, a fervent need for solitude, fake confidence that masks massive insecurities, and a failure to understand how the world and its people work. I often find myself trapped inside my own mind because that's the only place I can truly control anything.

All I want to do is write. I don't yearn for fame or endless sums of money. I just want to earn enough from writing so that I can do it as a full time occupation. Writing is my life. I'm told I'm good at it.

Next to writing is music. Having been an avid fan of dance music since the age of thirteen (about a year or two after I started writing fiction), I am now a lover of anything that isn't pop or mainstream. House music has been my musical passion for the majority of the past twenty years, though recently I've really gotten into my funk, soul, disco, and jazz-fusion. Roy Ayers and Vincent Montana Jr. (Salsoul Orchestra) are my musical heroes.

I hope my works of fiction meet with some favour from you all. My biggest fear is being ignored. I'd rather be told I'm not that good than people simply say nothing because that way, at least, I know that I'm flogging a dead horse and should stop kidding myself.

I believe a great story is always better than an eloquently told one. If you tell an interesting, deep, well-researched, and gripping story then you'll make a fan of me regardless of whether your commas are in the right place. I have no time for puritans.

My WIP is themed around the early 18th century Caribbean so I'll be interested to see what similarly themed stories are out there and how they compare to mine.
