I've been a writer for many years: from my college newspaper to articles for the web to fanfiction on FanFiction.net, to most recently, short stories and novels.

I tend to write in the Sci-Fi genre, with the occasional detours into General Fiction.  I love dousing characters in any number of predicaments and watching them scrap their way through.

When I'm not writing, I play trumpet in several bands in my hometown.
