Sooo...I finally finished my book "The Ones It Chose". I really enjoyed this book because it expanded my imagination and how I challenge the norms.

I really want people to ask questions and think about why certain things is normal in their life.

I don't know if I'm going to write a sequel....I'll have to see how this book does with the readers.

Hey Peeps!

Here is some updates! I added a "Readers Maps" section. So make sure drop by and rep where you come from. I finally finished part 1 of the book. I'm starting part 2 NOW! Also, I switched my characters animation style to a more anime mix. So now, when I post a chapter, you will see who is in the chapter while reading about it.

I also changed my profile pic and background pic.

Hey everyone! My new chapter is officially out!

I also wanted to share a little something about myself.

My favorite author is Octavia E. Butler. She was one of the biggest reasons I fell in love with science fiction. If you didn't know, I'm Black, and growing up, there weren't many Black sci-fi authors to look up to. When people think of Black authors, they often think of historical fiction, literary fiction, or stories centered around drama. Science fiction is usually one of the last genres that comes to mind, and that's part of why there still aren't as many Black voices in the genre as there should be.

What inspires me even more is her journey. She started writing and submitting stories when she was just 13 years old, but it took her about 16 years before she had her first major breakthrough as a Black science fiction writer. She was around 29 when her career really began to take off. That's a reminder that success doesn't always happen overnight.

One of my favorite books by her is Kindred. It's about a Black woman who is married to a white man, and they're suddenly pulled back in time to the era of slavery. What makes the story so powerful is watching how differently the experience affects each of them. Her husband struggles to hold onto his values in a world that normalizes slavery, while she's simply trying to survive. It's a story that has stayed with me ever since I first read it.

So, I just wanted to share the author who inspired me to start writing science fiction.

And if you're a fellow sci-fi writer....or you're thinking about becoming one....don't be afraid to follow me or send me a message. I'd love to connect with more people who love creating new worlds and imagining the impossible.

Now... go check out the new chapter!

Hey! @PearlsByShirl Thank you so much for following me. It really means a lot!

I was actually wondering what made you follow me since I noticed you haven't read any of my books yet. If you ever feel like giving them a try, I'd be really happy! I currently have two ongoing stories and one completed one, so you can choose whichever catches your interest.

Also, I checked out your work, and I genuinely think it's impressive. It's so unique and different from most of what I've seen on Wattpad. ✨

By the way... are you a Potterhead too? ⚡ I am as well!
