Sorry for the long period of no updates...I've just been having a really tough time with everything. I'm having inner conflicts. I hate myself a lot, where I come from people always say racist comments and stereotype alot and I hate that. I just want to be different, I don't like being black in a society that teaches that black is bad. Black isn't bad, you don't know every black person on this planet. Yes theyre are some black people that don't set good standards for the rest of us but that's not all that we are. We come from all different places, I'm hatian for one and my parents taught me to work hard and be who I want and what I want and they're strict. There are Black Africans, Black americans, black islanders and every culture is different you can't just generalize. When will we start looking at people as just people and not by race?

@PenelopeAspen hello I understand where you are coming from. I used to feel the same way about myself but as I grew older I learned that not everyone will like you or approve of what you do or say. you learn to ignore what you can and rise above it. showing them that not everyone the same. be YOU, be different show them how great you are.

@PenelopeAspen Don't worry, just remember you have one more year and then you will be off to college where you will see people from all walks of life. The world is a big place with many different people, don't let people from your high school bring you down or cloud your opinion. As for belonging to a group, you don't have to have the need to belong, just be yourself and keep your head up. I know it's easier said than done but just remember you life is just getting started and there will be more people you will meet, some good and some not so good. Use your experience in life to help guide others that might go through what you have gone through. Try to see the glass half full rather than half empty and always try to open up to your friends or your family and let them know what you are going through because just having someone to talk to will make things feel a lot better. Just remember that no race is better than the other, and when you said "when will we start to looking at people as just people and not be race" shows your maturer and wiser than those that make fun of others. Smile and don't let anyone bring down your spirit.
