From Roger Penfound author of The Guest Who Stayed. Hi Wattpad Followers. I'm writing to let you know that the first part of the sequel to my novel The Guest Who Stayed is now available on wattpad. Its called 'Devious Affairs' and it continues the story of a troubled family in search of their destiny. In this sequel, Emma, who left the UK in the first book to become a GI bride after the Second World War, returns and seeks out the bereaved husband and son of her half sister. She slips easily into the role of wife and mother but a sudden tragedy forces her to take over the reins of the family construction business which is competing for contracts in the war ravaged East of London. Finding herself in a testosterone driven male world of power and corruption, she accepts help from a crime syndicate boss and becomes ensnared in a love affair which threatens both her business and her family. This story is a roller coaster ride of passion, emotion and intrigue. I do hope you enjoy it. Just search for Devious Affairs in the wattpad search function and you should find it. Best Wishes. Roger Penfound.

Hello there!
I recently added your book, "the stranger who stayed" to my library and I must say, I really enjoy the book. I'm not done with it yet but I like how different it is. The write-up being year by year and the swift change in characters, it's verry nice.
I would appreciate it if you gave me a chance and checked out my work in progress tilted "SLY" BY BELAL KING. It'll mean a lot to me if you do. Thanks in advance.

@katherinetannahill Hi Katherine. Thanks for your great feedback. It's really appreciated. The main character is fictional though I guess he must have a bit of me in him. Not a good advertisement for me. The house is real. The photo on the cover is real. It's called Penfound Manor and it's haunted by a ghost called Kate. My family reputedly lived there in the middle ages and I've always wanted to write a story based around it. I've got another book on Wattpad - The Guest Who Stayed. I'd love your feedback on that. Very Best Wishes. Roger Penfound

Hi Wattpad followers. I want to thank those of you who have recently begun following my two books- 'The Guest Who Stayed' and 'The Voice Within '. I'm so grateful that new readers are still selecting these stories and providing great feedback. I love to hear from you and particularly enjoy the chapter by chapter comments that some of you provide. The reason for contacting you is to let you know that the sequel to The Guest Who Stayed is well under way and I have posted the first chapter on Wattpad. I'd be really grateful for some feedback although I understand you may struggle to remember the original story. The title is 'Forbidden Steps' and it tells the story of Emma who in 'The Guest Who Stayed' left England at the end of World War Two to marry Samuel, a black GI. Things didn't work out for Emma and Samuel so Emma returns to England to seek out her dead half sister's husband and take what she believes is rightfully hers. I hope you enjoy the read. Best Wishes.
