Glass Midnight is officially edited, entered in the Wattys, and has TWO extra chapters because apparently I live for a deadline. Nothing like cutting it fine!

You can read the whole thing and the two new chapters here:https://www.wattpad.com/story/409311569-glass-midnight-a-fairy-tale

Guys, editing saves lives. How do I know? It saved mine today when it turned out I skipped an ENTIRE chapter of Glass Midnight when posting. If you read chapter 15, then 16 and went "wow, is there teleportation in this draft?" No, no there is not, and you were totally right to be confused.

The real chapter 16 is up, and as I make my way through the rest of my edits, the updated chapter numbers will tell you where I'm at in them.

          Holy guacamole, what a mistake.

Anyway, read my hot mess fairytale here: https://www.wattpad.com/story/409311569-glass-midnight-a-fairy-tale

I hope to finish edits today and tomorrow so it can be all spruced up for the Wattys! Who else is entering the competition?

          Best,

@Pennywithaney You're right. I do need to read this. I won't be entering because I didn't finish my story to completion in time. But, I will definitely be cheering you on!

Glass Midnight is now complete! Thank you for those who read it and to those who commented. This is my first time since 2017 completing a book on wattpad, so though it's a small thing, it feels pretty big.

You can read the full draft here:
          https://www.wattpad.com/story/409311569-glass-midnight-a-fairy-tale

I'll be editing it throughout the next week to get it read for the wattys, but in the meantime, if you haven't read it, I hope you enjoy it!

It's a lot of magic, mystery, and adventure in a sparkly little package, and every read means a lot.

Chapter Twenty-Nine of Glass Midnight is posted, and we have one more chapter until the end!

This chapter features a ball, a transformation, and a dance, but I don't think you'll see the end coming. This chapter is also the only chapter that borrows from the first draft. :)

Happy reading! The last chapter will be posted tomorrow!

In case you've missed it, Glass Midnight is two chapters and an epilogue away from being complete! I intend to enter it in the Wattys, so I'll be posting the last 2.5 chapters on Friday and Saturday, and then diving into a light chapter-by-chapter edit.

Nothing big will change, but these will be more edits for consistency and flow. If you were waiting for it to be complete before reading and want to give feedback before that light edit, the next few days are a great time to read Glass Midnight!

@witchykitty Actually, I was able to recover some of the file! Just to confirm-- you want antimatter as your username, not WitchyKitty and not Deanna Heller-Erskin?

Hi Sarah — I thought I should drop a msg to let you know that one of the books you made me a cover for here on Wattpad, titled: Mosaic: A Short Works Collection, has been pirated to Google Play Books (along with your cover). I have reported it to Google and requested it be taken down there. Apparently this kind of piracy is rampant right now! Please check your own works to make sure they are safe. Wishing you well —Stacie

Hi friends! No update last week, but two will be coming between now and Friday. I'm in the process of applying for my New Zealand visa and I've been up to my eyeballs in legal documents both personally and in work contexts.

In the meantime, if you haven't started reading Glass Midnight yet, now might be a good time to get caught up before updates start up again. https://www.wattpad.com/story/409311569-glass-midnight-a-fairy-tale

And if you need a pitch-- Glass Midnight is a fairy tale fantasy story featuring fairies, pirates, princes, mystery, curses, poison, and a generous pinch of romance. It's the first of a trilogy and the second book will be told from the POV of Clara's sister, Harriet (and maybe Clara's, too).

I hope your May is treating you well!

Chapter Twenty-Two of Glass Midnight is up! https://www.wattpad.com/story/409311569-glass-midnight-a-fairy-tale

You can read it at the link above. Also, exciting things! As Wattpad is reintroducing/introducing a sub-genre like system, GM is now in the fairytale subgenre! I'm so excited for it to be there, as I remember when I wrote Glass Slippers how much I wish there was a way to dilineate it from a genre perspective.

On another note, I'm getting close to the parts that I'm working a lot harder on for GM, as so I will be switching to once a week updates for a bit while I iron things out. The book will likely come in at approimately 35-40 chapters, so I don't have a ton of time until the wattys deadline, but it's a work in progress.

Happy May Day and Labor Day to those in countries who celebrate!
