I making a quick change to Altostratus: changing Flammin's age from 40 to 70 when she first met Nike, and after a decade of refitting, have her be 80 in the current setting of the story.

In Altostratus, Flammin mentions she would have retired from her career as a muralist if Apollyon hadn't attacked her kingdom and destroyed everything she loved. Note that also she mentioned that she would "teach young curios how to paint" in retirement. I see Flammin as a doting old lady before the war destroyed everything. Now they are a vengeful doting old soldier lady.
I like old people romance, too.....so yeah! Why not?!
