Alright folks. I know I've been gone awhile. Lot's going on. New job and converting a van. Meridien has undergone some fairly significant changes when I have had time. The last few chapters started shifting the story in a direction I didn't like. The major stuff is done and it is now readable!

Out of curiosity, do you prefer to write while listening to music? If so, do you like film scores, instrumental, classical, white noise, or music like pop or rap?

I used to listen to inspiring instrumental but recently discovered a white noise track that took my writing to a different place. I find that it silences everything and doesn't introduce any thoughts or ideas. Only my own ideas come through and in the silence I can focus on each idea so much better. I can really get "in my zone" so to speak. That little voice you get as you read dialogue for each character is more easily heard. The words that come to mind paint everything in a different color. Maybe its just me though.

          What are your thoughts?

@igotu08withme @igotu08withme Awesome, I do agree. Listening to a certain kind of music can be really inspiring for a type of scene.

@PerceptionvsReality I honestly love listening to music when I write. And everytime I listen to music or I write something, it comes from what I'm truly feeling at that particular moment. If I'm feeling savage and I have to write a chapter about war or anything like that I listen to rap songs. If I'm writing something romantic, I listen to Ed Sheeran (because let's agree, he writes the best romance lyrics) and generally I listen to pop music tracks like Havana, senorita, I can't have you, bts songs etc...long story cut short, it all depends on the mood XD

Hi. Thank you for following me. Gosh your books look as interesting as your personality, if not more :')

@PerceptionvsReality I'll ignore them then :)

@_logogriph Right, ignore the grammar mistakes if you can. This is just a first draft so I haven't been very concerned with them.

@PerceptionvsReality I don't have high expectations. I've read the first chapter (there were some errors—sorry, I was born a grammar Nazi—but I entirely enjoyed the story and I can't wait to read more.

I just can't wait to see how it all develops.

*I look up from the delicate origami dragon I am folding*

"Oh hey, didn't see you come in." I smile warmly and dust off my hands.

"Just finished chapter 12. I think you'll get a kick out of it." I say as I hand you a sheet of paper.

"What do you think?" I ask.

You read the first few lines. Questioning what's happening in the story.

          "What's he making?" You ask.

"Just keep reading. You'll see." I chuckle.

You continue scanning the page. A particular section catching your interest. It reads:

""Emerald green eyes looked about her forest home in awe and admiration. She gazed happily at the many trees, plants, and... Her demeanor changed abruptly as she noticed a wildflower whose stem had been bent and broken. Thalia's eyebrows raised in concern as she stooped to hold it.

"Fear not young one." She whispered as she held it in her palm.

Thalia closed her eyes as green patterns and symbols on her skin illuminated in a green bioluminescence. The energy flowed into her hands and swirled around the flower. Slowly rising, the stem mended until the flower stood upright once more.

"Good as new." She said smiling to herself as she released the energy.

Suddenly, she noticed something far more alarming...""

          Eagerly you read on.

"Let me know what you think, yeah?"

          "Sure thing." You reply.

"Thanks, a lot. I mean it. I really appreciate you reading this over."

"Hey, what are friends for?" You say, smiling back.

Hey fellow writers and readers! Not a new chapter but a bit of a rewrite instead. Chapter 10, Searching for Answers is up. The previous version didn't feel right so I basically rewrote the entire thing! Lesson learned, don't right when you don't feel it. Forcing it to make a quota doesn't make for good writing.

          Here's an excerpt:

"Her gaze pierced him. She looked at him knowingly. Almost as if she knew the power he held inside. Like she knew his secret, and that he was searching for answers.

          Could she know something?

As Marcus returned her gaze, he could almost swear he saw something there. Something in her eyes...

Suddenly the bell rang loudly, breaking their momentary eye contact. Marcus turned, opened the door, and left before anyone else noticed him skipping class. Her eyes followed him as he left. A flash of red flicked across her pupils as her iris's glowed in a circle of flame.

          I can't believe that worked.

          She chuckled to herself.

I guess Doc was right about this one."

Hello Meridian readers! Chapter 11: Assassin, has been uploaded. Delve into the agent assassins mysterious past and begin to understand who he is and what makes him tick.

"Unable to resist, he relented as the memories came flooding back in flashing fragments. The choking smell of thick black smoke, bright red flames of a burning house licking at the night sky, the red and blue lights of police cars. Stretchers were being lifted into an ambulance, one gurney covered with a white sheet, underneath it the shape of a body much too small to belong there.

"If I could have just been there!"

The guilt and remorse ate at him, chipping away his..."
