Day by day I'm baffled by the obsession of many taekook authors with shaming the female characters in their books. They are either sl*t shamed or paired up Hobi having some eccentric personality. Feels like such a character is deliberately created to be verbally abused by the author and the readers. What I don't really understand is why so much hate towards the female race when the author is one themselves and the majority of readers are fangirls too?
With people like these we don't need an Andrew Tate to put us down.

Got back to reading in Wattpad after a long break. I've been starting and abandoning books only after the first few chapters for a while now. But b*tch the moment I decide to complete atleast one full book, I end up with the most mind f*cking storylines? It's not even funny :'( Streak of two books with disoriented storylines within a single week. Is it Duolingo's curse on me for choosing wattpad over maintaining my Spanish streak?

So a little rant here! I was reading a book and halfway into the first chapter was enough to piss me off. The book generalised women in BL stories as b*tches and sl*ts who would throw themselves on any handsome man on any chance they get. And also the author had double standards that if a girl sleeps around she's a sl*t but if a man does that he's a cool playboy. I just called it out and the author simply blocked me. I have no regrets though. I'll just consider few hours of my time saved from reading such a cliche. But the point is when you're an author in a public platform people with many perspectives and people of all age groups can read your stories. And they have every right to express their opinions. You cannot always expect sunshine, rainbows and unicorns in the comments. If you can bask in the praises of your readers you must have the balls to suck up constructive criticism too. I'm not asking them to tolerate unprompted hate. My point is purely about accepting constructive criticism. If you keep blocking every person who has an opinion different from that of yours you'll never grow as a person.
Felt good taking it off my chest
