Hellooo everyone! My hiatus is over and I'm back to writing Starsong-- but there's a few important updates I wanted to share.
Trying to get a chapter out daily got me really, really burned out and into a place where I had no idea where my story was going. I essentially backed myself into a hole where I was constantly scrambling to get out without resorting to outright plot armor. I really want my story to be good, so that's why I'm announcing that I am no longer posting chapters daily! I'm going to write 500-1000 words each day, which means chapters will take 1-6 days to come out. It'll probably be longer between each, though, because I want to take the time to really think about and plan where my story is going. I hope you all understand.
However! If you do want to see me daily, I'm extremely active over on my CharacterHub (linked in my About section)! I talk a lot there, make character profiles, and I'll possibly drop progress updates as I'm writing chapters??
Either way, I thank everyone for the support I've been given, and I'm excited to get back in! Let's do this! >:]

Finally back to writing! That took about a week longer than I'd planned, but I'm glad for it and very excited for the story's current direction! Thanks to everyone who has and will ever checked it out, and I'm planning to return to somewhat regular updates now!

My reviews are finally done! ...Over three days longer than I told myself it would take. But, hey, at least I got them done at all, and now I have all the information I need to continue accurately! Starsong should be continuing in a few days!

Hey all, sorry for leaving on an unresolved note, but I'm going to be using this week to read through Starsong so far and catch any plot holes I need to resolve or plot threads I've forgotten about. If anyone has anything at all that confused them or isn't clear, or any theories about where the story may be going, they're VERY much appreciated now more than ever. Anything at all helps! Hey! I'm aware I likely won't get many answers on this, heheh, but I thought I'd put it out there if anyone wanted to throw their say in.
If I were to post another 'concept chapter' like with Project Mythos (I continue to focus on Starsong but write the first chapter or two of a different story of mine so people can test what kind of story they want to see next), which kind of premise sounds interesting? (Without TOO many spoilers!)
- a nine-year-old Thai boy ascends to angelhood one day and doesn't understand why, but demons are starting to attack his hometown and target him and he has to fight them off with only his new powers, his sister (an autistic teen with notes about his growing powers and a blessed baseball bat) and their family friend, all while hiding it from his single father to protect him (it's very monster-of-the-week)
- in a world where everyone has a strange ability, a young girl's mother gets kidnapped and she runs away, seeking help from an alcoholic recluse who knows more about her mother than she's letting on and an amnesiac boy to find her (it's more lighthearted than it sounds, a found family story)
- A young street racer and his older brother get falsely arrested along with an orphaned inventor, but after her comms are taken down by the strange power source the inventor discovered, their bounty hunter is forced to take them across the country on foot, slowly realizing that these kids may not be the criminals she was told and that she may have been fed even more lies… (the setting is post-apocalyptic but it's more of a found family road trip story than it is gritty (can you tell I like found family?))
- Twin witches with opposite magic disorders— one too much, one too little— go on a quest with their adopted half-ram sister and their benefactor (who is also a teenager) to find a cure for their father's curse

- After being attacked by a shadowy creature, a young girl and her best friend are whisked away to a temple of star spirits and told that she has been marked as the enemy of a malicious being that is trying to escape its captivity… and the girl starts to realize that her late sister once had something to do with this society that she never knew about, and now she has to both figure out who her sister really was and carry on her legacy.
- Three siblings are suddenly approached by their panicked grandfather one night, learning that their parents have been kidnapped and taken away to another world— but a world THEY BELONG TO. They learn that they're each a different fantastical creature who has been raised as a human, and need to learn to control their powers and navigate this shifting new world to save their parents. (It's actually mostly sibling comedy with some good drama in there)
- A young magician is taken to an academy full of people like him, people who want to use their abilities to be great, but quickly learns that a malevolent force has orchestrated his entry and his meeting of his new friends— but why? And what should he do about it? (Think My Hero Academia crossed with The Magic Misfits, with quite a bit of my own twists!)
