In case anyone was debating doing ONC this year:
If you were to have a writing plan for the minimum of 20k words (and giving yourself two and a half weeks to edit), you'd only need to write 278 words a day. By the end of February you'd have nearly 8k words, by the end of March you'd have nearly 16k words, and by April 13th you'd have your 20k minimum with two and a half weeks to spare and use to edit.
If you were to have a writing plan for the maximum of 40k words (and giving yourself two and a half weeks to edit), you'd need to write 556 words a day. By the end of February you'd have nearly 12k words, by the end of March you'd have nearly 32k words, and by April 13th you'd have your 40k maximum with two and a half weeks to spare and use to edit.
So, as long as you write 300 words day, you'll meet every minimum word requirement without worry.
