There are few things more awe-inspiring in nature than a sunset on a cloudy day. How beams of light sometimes manage to pierce the heavens. The flashes of purples and pinks that paint the undersides of clouds. The golden gleams of the steadly setting orb filling in the holes where clouds aren't. Even the ominous darkness of the remaining clouds as the horizon burns to black.

We saved a REALLY big spider tonight. The guy was bigger than a 50 cent coin and it took two people and a small box to get the job done. I'm not sure which part was better: the pleasure saving him or knowing he was no longer hanging over our head.

Our apologies for the unfortunately large hiatus, but we have been understandably busy, and truth be told, there's only two events worth mentioning.

Little Lucina had it the worst: the poor thing had pulled out most of her fur and had gotten an infection in her right eye. She's doing much better now (yeah modern medicine), but the remains of her eye will need to be removed when she gets to be a bit older. But having only one eye doesn't seem to be hindering her any and it certainly hasn't dampened the infamous tortoiseshell attitude.

But all is well! the tom, named Sami, was by far the healthiest and needed little more than love and care. The kittens were worse off, mostly because of ring worm, but all they have now is a case of the sniffles. The two boys, a lethargic white and black one named Milano and an all black rambunctious one named Loki, were introduced to us along side their adoptive sister, a feisty grey tortoiseshell named Lucina.

@Petals_to_Fall Secondly is something to tug at the heartstrings. Back about a week before August began, our uncle brought home four cats he was taking care of from north Texas: three kittens(one girl, two boys), and a fairly submissive tom. We neglected to mention them back them because it was unclear if they would make it and they were without names
