I love characters. I've surrounded myself with them my entire life. It's what makes life interesting.
No matter where I am people start conversations with me, and I love hearing about their stories.
I think about "what ifs" a lot.
I was on the ferry the other day with my girlfriend and my dog and wondered - what if I - in a story - the man got up and never came back? What would happen? What would be the fallout? Why did he leave? Where did he go?
I've always been a good problem solver. I think that's what makes the basis of a good story. That a believable characters.
